The next generation:
Daikin Mini VRV 5-S with climate-friendly refrigerant R-32
With the introduction of the Mini VRV 5-S and its climate-friendly refrigerant R-32, Daikin is making an important contribution to reducing CO2 emissions in the air-conditioning sector. The system is the solution for the air-conditioning of smaller commercial applications and apartment buildings. The VRV is an air-to-air heat pump that obtains its energy for cooling, heating and ventilation from a sustainable energy source air and enables all-round thermal energy management in the building. All known VRV standards such as VRT (Variable Refrigerant Temperature) technology are also incorporated in the compact Mini VRV version. Thanks to its dimensions of 870 x 1,100 x 460 mm, the outdoor unit is easy to transport and flexible in use. With only one, newly designed and larger fan, the Mini VRV 5-S provides a high air flow rate and reduced noise emissions up to 39 dBA. It can be combined with duct connection units, false ceiling units, Sky Air indoor units and now also with a door air curtain, and can be integrated into a ventilation system. Quiet and efficient indoor units, specially designed for refrigerant R-32, air-condition the building.
Leading-edge seasonal efficiency
Thanks to its GWP (Global Warming Potential) of 675 and a lower filling quantity, the global warming potential of R-32 is only one-third of that of the R-410A refrigerant commonly used in the market. “R-32 best meets the aspects of safety, environmental compatibility, economy and energy efficiency in the field of VRV. The Mini VRV 5-S is already fully compliant with LOT 21, Tier 2 and offers leading-edge seasonal efficiency,” says Bernard Dehertogh, Head of Commercial Air-Conditioning at Daikin Europe N.V.

The Mini VRV 5-S is now available with climate-friendly refrigerant R-32.

Thanks to its compact dimensions, the VRV 5-S outdoor unit can be used flexibly.
