To meet the cooling needs of an office building from a major Spanish bank, Daikin recently supplied chiller units from the R-32 Small Inverter Chiller series.
Total cooling capacity: 800 kW
The project in Girona, Spain, refurbished an old HVAC system to provide the building with a more efficient, environmentally sustainable, and flexible system. As different parts of the building are used for different purposes, Daikin introduced the concept of modularity.
By using 8 Small Inverter Chillers, the cooling load is flexible so it can meet the actual demand from each part of the building regardless of the time of day or season.

As well as energy efficiency, quick delivery was also relevant as the customer had a tight deadline. The R-32 Small Inverter Chiller series is always available from stock which enabled the project to be completed on time.
Reliability was also important, and thanks to Daikin’s comprehensive experience in developing R-32 technology, the R-32 Small Inverter Chiller units delivered.
In 2018, Daikin was an early innovator and made history by introducing the first R-32 refrigerant chillers, followed by free-cooling scroll units in the same year, and the R-32 Heat Pump in 2020.
Today, the Daikin brand has the highest number of R-32 installations in the world. This is a testimony to the experience, knowledge, quality, and reliability of its R-32 products.
